I had read several reviews of this product prior to purchasing it. The negative reviews were very negative, and the positives the same. I was looking for a smoker that did not require the, checking the coals adding chips all of the time, and having a huge mess to clean when through. this smoker was very easy to assemble, and works as advertised. the heating element does take about 30-45 minutes to heat to temp, but once there it heats as needed. The chip adding is also very easy. All said, I think this smoker is a very good quality product that will suffice for the weekend smoker. Also, if you watch Amazon, you can get this smoker for under $200.00 which is also a plus for a product of this quality. REVIEWS......
